151. The reason Hilton permitted that tape to be sold is because it was the one thing that catapulted her to instant fame. And she continued to use that notoriety for years. She needed it. A television special about Hilton was aired late this summer. It showed how she brazenly and deliberately: Exposed herself to the paps getting out of a car, and at a red carpet event; did sleazy pole dances signing into microphones that look like phallic symbols. This narcissist would often contact the media to let them know where she was; she used them constantly. There were other instances of gross and sleazy public behavior, but they’re just too repulsive to mention. And those home videos that clearly show her to be a racist, nouveau riche snob?

Please, spare us the self-righteous indignation. Hilton is one of the biggest phonies to hit Hollywood in years. Anyone who looks up to this “person” is in serious need of counseling.

159. Paris' representatives later claimed that the manager of the adult video store handed over the cardboard cutout voluntarily. This tape clearly shows they lied. Also, the store claims that a man who identified himself as her manager threatened to sue this store for defamation of character if the security video was leaked to the media. Everything about this woman is so completely phony!

161. There was a whole lot more apparently, but the audio could not be filtered from the video taken at the front of the store (the window display) due to traffic and outside noise. But there was a lot more - apparently she was screaming and really nasty after they headed to the front of the store.

And the employees did not stop her from taking the displays to prevent her from escalating, but the owner was not in the store, and NO ONE had the authority to give her anything.

As for filing theft charges - I was hoping they'd go that route. Not like she'd have gotten a slap on the wrist for it though - but it would have been nice to see.

163. I don't like Paris Hilton, but her reaction seemed perfectly fair and justified. Her lawyers probably did write up a contract that dictates who is allowed to use her image, and if a person or business is using her image in a way she doesn't like, she should be able to tell them to stop. And who cares about her sweatshirt?! She probably has to be incognito most of the time she's in public!

LW's post was right on target. She behaved like a crazy person (phony, spoiled brat?), rather than proceed with whatever legal rights she may or may not have through the appropriate channels. She continues to make herself look both obnoxious and dishonest. Her behavior in that store was a disgusting publicity stunt.

So were the actions of her "representatives" who clearly lied, and her "manager" who allegedly threatened to sue the store should they decide to release that security tape to the media. This was reprehensible.
